GENERAL STANDARDS FOR COMMUNICATIONS
Abstract presentations
Communications must be in Spanish or in English.
They must include: corresponding author contact details (Name, Surname, email, workplace) and a brief CV of the main author (2-3 lines) and the names and surnames of the rest of the authors.
Abstracts must indicate the theme.
They must not be exceeding 300 words in length.
- Between 4 and 6 keywords must be indicated
Structure: if they are a research or a theoretica/systemical review, they will follow IMRAD format (Introduction, Methods, Results and Discussion).
Experiments would follow the IDMERC format (Introduction, Description, Methodology, Evidence, Results and Conclusions).
Communications can be sent in three modalities: experiment, research or theoretical/systemical review.
Experiments: The content will be structured following these parts: Introduction, Description, Methodology, Evidence, Results, Conclusions.Keywords: between 4 and 6 words.
Empirical or experimental Research Projects. The content will be structured following these parts: Introduction, Objectives, Methodology, Results, Discussion and Conclusions.Keywords: between 4 and 6 words.
Theoretical/systemical review projects. The content will be structured following these parts: Introduction, Objectives, Methodology, Results, Discussion and Conclusions. Keywords: between 4 and 6 words.
Design
The design is established in the following template according to the chosen language.
Parts would be modified based on the chosen theme:
It is not necessary to include bibliographic references in the abstract, however they will consider part of the abstract those projects that include them. APA rules (7th edition) must be followed.
Communication abstracts will be published in the Abstract Book with ISBN and Legal Deposit.
Completed papers
- It is not obligatory to send the completed paper.
- The acceptance of the communication abstract doesn’t mean the acceptance of the completed paper.
- Completed papers can be published as a book chapter or a journal article in Revista Española de Comunicaión en Salud (RECS).
- Completed papers must be adaptd to the structure of each theme, following the template format of the chosen language.
- Length of the text: from 10 to 12 pages, bibliography included.
- The send of the completed paper to be pulished as a book chapter will not include the abstract.
- Abstract and completed paper title are recommended not to coincide.
Publication of papers
- Participants whose completed papers will be published as journal articles in RECS journal (digital form) must include it in the registration form indicating paper send. The text must follow the RECS standards, as it appears on its webpage.
- RECS journal would only publish those papers who pass the peer review, the rejected ones will be published as a book chpater in Octaedro publishing house.
- Once the completed paper is sent, it will de mentioned to publish it as an journal article in RECS or as a book chapter in Octaedro.
Presentation and acceptance of communications:
Communications sent via the form will be admited to be evaluated
Communication abstract deadline (poster or talks): 25 th April 2025
The acceptance or rejection will be contacted by the Scientific Commitee to the corresponding author before 30th April 2025.
- All the accepted papers must be sent to the Technical Secretariat ( EMAIL : comtelesalud@uma.es)
before 00:01 on 15th May 2025.
Poster format communications to be exposed at the venue could be handed in 22th May 2025
